Channels

Eight networks, each with its own rules

Every post is shaped for the network it goes to before you see it — length, hashtag count, image ratio and the way the call to action is written. Each connected account counts as one channel; three Facebook pages count as three.

Facebook

Pages. Links are clickable in the text and render as a card. Up to 30 hashtags, effectively no length limit — we still aim for 80–250 characters, which is where engagement lives.

Instagram

Business profiles. An image is required, cropped square around your focus point. Links are not clickable, so the call to action is written to work without a click. Caption up to 2,200 characters.

TikTok

Requires media. Text is shorter and more direct, addressing the viewer. Up to 2,200 characters.

LinkedIn

Company pages. Professional register, at most one emoji, business hashtags. Up to 3,000 characters and 10 hashtags.

X

280 characters including hashtags, with links counted as 23 the way X counts them. One idea, no preamble, one or two hashtags — the counter marks the overflow in red as you type.

YouTube

Community posts and video descriptions. The first two sentences carry the weight; the rest is collapsed. Up to 5,000 characters.

Pinterest

Pin descriptions, written descriptively with keywords woven in, because people arrive through search. Requires an image; up to 800 characters.

Threads

Conversational and brief, up to 500 characters and five hashtags.
